Tour de Trail: Shawnee Mission Park South

Tour de Trail at Shawnee Mission Park South is a trail race organized by Team Sparkle on November 14, 2026, at 7900 Renner Rd, Shawnee, KS. The event is part of a six-race Tour de Trail series; individual stages are approximately a 10K distance and may vary between about 5.5 and 6.5 miles depending on trail layout and conditions. The Shawnee stage will start at Shelter 10.

Registration for a single race is $50, with $5 from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration accepts cash or check for $60, and Venmo or card via Venmo for $65. Registration closes on November 13, 2026.

The race is cupless and provides water-only aid stations; participants must carry their own hydration device such as a handheld or a hydration vest. Finish-line provisions include cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks. A four-hour finish limit applies and the course will be marked with flagging explained at the pre-race briefing.

Alternate courses may be used if trails are closed; options include cross-country, equestrian, paved, or combined routes. Rules include no littering, no poles except by medical exemption, no alcohol in the park, and leashed dogs with cleanup required. Podium awards are given for first through third in woman, man, and non-binary categories. All registrants receive a trail-specific sticker and a single piece of event swag, and athletes who complete all six series races receive a special finisher award.
