Night Wolf 5K/10K : Kansas City, KS

The Night Wolf event is the fourth annual edition of a trail race day organized by Wyco Wolfpack at Shelter 2, Wyandotte County Lake Park in Kansas City, KS. The program offers separate trail races of about 5 km and 10 km, plus a double option that combines both for a total of 15 km.

Trails are bridle routes rather than groomed mountain bike trails and can vary from dry to extremely muddy or waterlogged. The course profiles include notable elevation gain, roughly 500 ft plus for the 5 km and about 650 ft plus for the 10 km. The 5 km is described as family friendly and has been used by participants new to trail running. The 10 km includes a section that will require a headlamp on the return leg.

Logistics center on Shelter 2 where parking and packet pickup are located. The event provides overall winner awards for the 5 km, the 10 km, and the combined results separated by male and female categories. There is also a random prize drawing and a light piece of event swag. A post-race summer gathering will feature pizza and beverages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
