The event takes place on August 1, 2026 with a rain date of August 8, 2026 at Camp Lake of the Woods in Swope Park. The start area is at Lake Lodge and the races follow the Swope Trails.

Course and aid The trails include rocky sections, exposed roots and steep elevation changes. The longer loop is described as more rocky and is intended for experienced trail runners. Organizers recommend that participants in the longer race carry personal hydration. There will be a water station around the halfway point on the trail and an additional water station at the finish. A water fountain is available at Lake Lodge. Snacks and beverages will be offered at the finish.

Logistics and facilities Packet pickup is scheduled at Lakeside Nature Center on the Friday before the race and at the trailhead on race day. A secured bag drop will be available behind packet pickup. Bathrooms are located in the Lake Lodge, which is air conditioned. Parking is limited; Lakeside Nature Center parking can be used as an alternative. All racers receive one raffle ticket; additional tickets are available on race day for purchase.

Rules and restrictions There will be no late starts. Dogs are not allowed to participate in the race because of the heat and the presence of live birds, but leashed dogs may remain on the sidelines. First place male and female finishers in each running distance receive free entry for the following year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
