Miola Madness - Fall Edition

Miola Madness - Fall Edition is a timed running event held at Miola Lake near 22470 W 299th Street in Paola, KS. The course is an approximately 6-mile crushed limestone loop around the lake. The start and finish are located at the boat ramp trail head, which serves as the main race hub with restrooms and nearby park amenities.

The event offers multiple entry formats:

  • 12 hour timed option
  • 9 hour timed option
  • 6 hour timed option
  • 3 hour timed option
  • 10K distance (new)

There are two aid stations on course: one primary station that is abundantly stocked and one secondary station offering fluids only. Hammer Nutrition will provide electrolyte drink, gels, and other performance fuel at the primary station.

This meeting is the third event in a three-part Miola Madness Series. The 10K is a new, inaugural distance; records for the new 10K will be recorded and a record setter sign will be awarded to anyone who sets or breaks a record for that distance.

Event rules include keeping pets on a leash, no littering, staying on the designated trail, treating volunteers and park staff with respect, and having crews meet runners only at designated crew access aid stations. The organizer states the event proceeds regardless of weather and that no refunds, transfers, or deferrals are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
