Miola Madness - Hot Summer Nights

Miola Madness is a timed running event held at Miola Lake in Paola, KS organized by Midwest Endurance Race Co. The course is a roughly 6 mile crushed limestone loop around the lake. The event offers multiple distance and timed options:

  • 12 hour timed event
  • 9 hour timed event
  • 6 hour timed event
  • 3 hour timed event
  • 10K distance

All races start and finish at the boat ramp trail head, which serves as the main race hub. The race hub area includes restrooms, a dog park, and nearby beach access, and it is designated for crew access. The course has one primary, abundantly stocked aid station and a secondary fluid only aid station. Hammer Nutrition will provide electrolyte drink, gels, and other performance fuel at the aid stations.

The 10K is a new, inaugural distance for the event; event records for that distance will be established and record setters will receive a sign. The event does not offer refunds, transfers, or deferrals, and it will take place regardless of the weather. Participants must keep pets on leash, avoid littering, stay on the designated trail, respect volunteers and park staff, and have crews meet runners only at designated crew access aid stations.
