KCCC Fall Series 5K
The event is a 3.1 mile trail 5K held on the trails inside Kill Creek Park in Olathe, Kansas. Entrants are scored in age groups based on age as of December 31 of the race year; groups listed include Under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. First, second, and third place medals are awarded in each age group for men and women.
Packet pick-up is available at two locations and times: Friday, September 25, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mill Creek Activity Center, 6518 Vista Dr., Shawnee, KS 66218; and Saturday, September 26, 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM at Kill Creek Park, 11670 Homestead Lane, Olathe, KS 66061. Photo identification is required to collect a packet.
Packets include the participant bib and safety pins. Bibs must be pinned on the front of the shirt or shorts and be visible when crossing the finish line. Runners are placed in waves by estimated finish time; waves leave approximately every minute and signage and announcements will guide lineup. No outside pacers are allowed on course; all people on course must wear the provided race bib. Participants may walk and are asked to start at the back of the pack when walking.
