KCCC Fall Series 5K

The event is a 5K held on the trails inside Kill Creek Park at the Kill Creek Park marina in Olathe, KS. The program includes two event entries: a standard 5K and a 5K youth category. The distance is equivalent to 3.1 miles. Entrants are scored in 10-year age groups listed as Under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. First, second, and third place medals are awarded in each age group for men and women.

Packet pick-up is available on the Friday before the race at the Mill Creek Activity Center in Shawnee and on race morning at Kill Creek Park; a photo ID is required to pick up a packet. Packets include a participant bib and safety pins; bibs must be pinned on the front of the shirt or shorts and visible at the finish. Runners will line up in waves based on estimated finish time with waves starting approximately every minute. No outside pacers are allowed on the course and all participants on the course must wear the official race bib. Participants may walk and walkers are asked to start toward the back. Miola Madness Spring Into Daylight Savings is a timed running event at Miola Lake in Paola, KS on a 6ish mile crushed limestone loop. It offers 3, 6, 9 and 12 hour formats plus a new 10K and stocked aid stations.

A timed hill-loop event on Ogg Road in Shawnee, KS offering 3 hour and 6 hour formats. Runners complete 1.1 mile laps with about 200 feet of climb per lap, chip timed with an aid station and awards for top finishers.
