KCCC Fall Series 5K

KCCC Fall Series 5K is a trail running event held at Kill Creek Park marina in Olathe, Kansas. The course is run on the park trails and the advertised distance is equivalent to 3.1 miles. Entrants are placed in 10-year age groups based on their age as of December 31 of the current year and are scored in the following categories: Under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. First, second, and third place medals are awarded in each age group for men and women.

Wave starts are used; runners line up by estimated finish time and waves proceed at approximately one-minute intervals until all participants are on course. Signs and announcements will indicate how to line up. No outside pacers are allowed on the course; all participants on the course must wear the race bib provided at check-in. Participants may walk if necessary and walkers should start at the back of the pack.

Packet pick-up is offered in advance at Mill Creek Activity Center and on the morning of the event at Kill Creek Park. Photo identification is required to pick up a packet. Packets include a participant bib and safety pins; bibs must be pinned on the front of the shirt or shorts and be visible when crossing the finish line. The Race Committee may delay the start or change the course if conditions warrant such action. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
