Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake

Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake is a trail 10k held in DeSoto, KS and organized by Team Sparkle. The course distance is presented as a 10Kish trail run and is part of the Tour de Trail series that visits multiple area trail systems.

The series comprises six trail events held across the summer. Individual race registration is listed at $50 with five dollars from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. A discounted series registration is available for all six races for $265 if completed by the series discount deadline.

The course will be marked with flagging and described at the pre race briefing. Aid on course is water only; this is a cupless event so participants must provide their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest. Cold fizzy water, soda and some light snacks will be available at the finish area. Alternate course options may be used if a trail is closed due to weather or conditions.

Event rules require participants to pack out litter, keep dogs leashed and under control, and avoid using poles unless an exemption is granted for medical reasons. Personal music is allowed with headphones at a volume that permits awareness of other users. Results use clock timing and will be posted on UltraSignup. Each stage awards first, second and third places in woman, man and non-binary categories and all finishers receive a stage-specific handmade award and a sticker. The event partners with the Trail Mix Fund to offer fee assistance for eligible participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
