Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake is a trail event in DeSoto, KS at 9000 Sunflower Road. It is presented as part of the Tour de Trail series and is held as a roughly 10K trail race that can range from about 5.5 to 6.5 miles depending on trail layout and conditions.
Single race registration is listed at $50, with $5 of each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Series registration is available for all six races with a discounted total of $265 if completed by the specified registration deadline. Race day registration options and alternate payment methods are described in the event information.
Timing will use clock timing and results are posted on UltraSignup. The event is cupless and the on-course aid is water only; participants must bring their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest to use at aid stations. Cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks are available at the finish.
Course markings and a pre race briefing will explain the route. Road crossings remain open and runners are responsible for their own safe crossings. Dogs are allowed if leashed and cleaned up after. Personal music devices are permitted with headphones at a volume that allows awareness of other users. Littering, use of poles except by medical exemption, alcohol in the park, cutting the course, and leash violations may lead to disqualification.
Participants receive a trail specific sticker and a special piece of swag. Podiums are awarded for first, second, and third in woman, man, and non binary categories, and each race includes a handmade finishers award. Athletes who complete all six races in the series receive a special finishers award. The event partners with the Trail Mix Fund to offer fee waivers for those who need assistance and accepts donations to that fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
