Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake

Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake is a trail running event in DeSoto, KS on August 15, 2026, organized by Team Sparkle as part of the Tour de Trail series. The series visits six different trail systems; entrants may register for a single race or for all six stages.

The course is in the 10K range and typically falls between 5.5 and 6.5 miles depending on trail layout and conditions. Runners and hikers are allowed and participants are given four hours to complete the course. Organizers will provide an alternate course if trails are closed due to weather or maintenance; alternate surfaces may include cross country, equestrian or paved routes.

Standard single race entry is listed at $50, with five dollars from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration is available and the organizers accept cash, check or electronic payment methods.

Aid stations provide water only; this is a cupless event so participants must carry their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest. At the finish there will be cold fizzy water, soda and light snacks.

Event rules include no poles except by prior medical exemption, no alcohol in Johnson County parks, and no littering. Dogs are permitted on leash and must be cleaned up after. The course will be marked and explained in the pre race briefing. Personal music is allowed with headphones at a volume that permits hearing other users. Results are recorded with clock timing and posted on UltraSignup. Awards include first through third places for woman, man and non binary categories and a handmade finishers award for each stage.
