About the race
The Memorial Day Trail Run is organized by Southeastern Trail Runs and takes place on Memorial Day Weekend in Pelham, Alabama, at Oak Mountain State Park near the north entrance to the Belcher Tract off Hwy 280. The event offers trail distances and is listed with entry fees in the approximate range of USD 66.78 to USD 90.15.
Runners can choose from these distances:
- 12 Miler
- 6 Miler
Packet pickup and late registration are available the day before at Mountain High Outfitters and on race day at Oak Mountain State Park. There is a parking fee of $5 per person at the north entrance of the park. The deadline to register and be guaranteed a race shirt is May 9; extras may be available after that date.
Active military may participate free of charge when presenting a military ID at packet pickup; the organizer provides a coupon code for online registration: 2026US.Military. Place awards are given as runners finish, with overall awards for 1st through 3rd male and female, age awards for Masters 40 - 49, Grand Master 50 - 59, Ultra Grand Master 60+, and awards for 16 and under, male and female.
