Hotter N' Hell Trail Run

Hotter N' Hell is a trail race held at Oak Mountain State Park, starting from the Cedar Pavilion off Terrace Drive in Pelham, AL. The event is part of the Southeastern Trail Series and offers two distance options:

The course climbs to the top of Double Oak Mountain and descends into Peavine Gorge, passing Peavine Falls where runners may cool off. Organizers note heat is a factor on this course and recommend careful hydration; they also provide an extra aid station near Peavine Falls.

Field size for the Hotter N' Hell race is limited to 300 runners and the event may sell out. The last day to be guaranteed a race shirt is July 7. Student racers high school age or younger are eligible for a 50% discount using the discount code Student-2025 entered at checkout.

Packet pickup is available at Mountain High Outfitters, 2000 Oak Mountain Park Rd, Pelham, AL, and at the Cedar Pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park. Park entry requires payment of a $5 per person fee and all attendees must enter through the park South Gate near Interstate 65.
