May the Fourth be with you (original)
The event is scheduled for 2 May 2026 at Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton, in the Shropshire Hills. It offers a choice of half marathon or full marathon distances on a looped course across the Long Mynd.
- Half marathon - one lap of 13.1 miles
- Marathon - two laps of 13.1 miles
Each lap follows terrain on the Long Mynd and surrounding Shropshire hills. Aid stations are provided on course and marshals are present. Finishers receive a medal. Entries for the main race are limited to 200. A virtual race will take place during the week of May 4th. Entry fees are listed from £36 to £42. The marathon has a seven hour cut-off.
