Martley Madness

Martley Madness is a spring trail and country lane race organised by the Worcestershire Trailblazers. The course is approximately 10 miles ish, comprising about eight miles of trail and two miles on quiet public lanes. Trail sections include woodland, ascents and descents of Rodge Hill, and a stretch of the Worcestershire Way. The route crosses a B road twice; signage and marshals will be in place for safety.

The race venue and race HQ are at Sport Martley Leisure Centre, Martley, Worcestershire, WR6 6QA. Free car parking is provided close to the start area within the grounds of The Chantry School adjacent to Sport Martley. Toilets will be available at the start and finish area; there are no changing rooms or showers at race HQ.

Chip timing will be used. Bespoke medals will be given to all finishers and trophies will be awarded to overall top three men and women and to first place age categories: MV40, MV50, MV60, MV70 and FV35, FV45, FV55, FV65. A water station will be positioned roughly midway on the course with limited disposable cups. Cake and fruit will be offered to finishers. Race permit ARC/26/0331 is in place and proceeds will go to the Worcestershire Trailblazers and charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (C.R.Y).
