Martley Madness takes place on 19 April 2026 and is organised by the Worcestershire Trailblazers (ARC affiliated). The race holds a permit (ARC/26/0331) and a maximum of 200 entries. Entry fees are shown as £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unattached runners. The event uses chip timing. Bespoke medals will be given to all finishers and trophies will be awarded in overall and age-category classes: male 1st–3rd overall; male MV40, MV50, MV60, MV70 winners; female 1st–3rd overall; female FV35, FV45, FV55, FV65 winners. Proceeds will go to the Worcestershire Trailblazers and the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (C.R.Y).
Course, facilities and safety
The course is approximately 10 miles. It comprises about 8 miles of trail and 2 miles on open public country highway. Trail sections include woodland, ascents and descents of Rodge Hill, and a section of the Worcestershire Way. Road sections follow mainly very quiet single-track lanes and include two crossings of a B road. Signage and marshals will be in place; participants are asked to be vigilant and exercise caution.
Race HQ is at Sport Martley Leisure Centre, Martley, Worcestershire. Free car parking is provided within the grounds of The Chantry School near the start area. Toilets are available at the start and finish; there are no changing rooms or showers at race HQ. A water station will be provided approximately halfway along the route with limited disposable cups. Cake and fruit are offered at the finish. The event does not allow pets. The organiser states measures to reduce environmental impact, including low-carbon medals, a non-plastic water stop, encouragement of car sharing, and paper-free advertising.
