Marshall Mountain Revival Trail Runs

The Marshall Mountain Revival Trail Runs is a multi-event trail running meeting held at Marshall Mountain in Missoula, MT (5250 Marshall Canyon Rd). The event includes a team relay, a solo 25K, a 5-mile race, and a kids run. Chip timing with live results, course aid, post-race brunch, vendor offerings, and post-race activities are provided on site.

Courses and format

• 15.8 miles - Revival Relay 25K, 3,600 ft elevation gain
• 15.4 miles - Revival Solo 25K, 3,600 ft elevation gain
• 5 miles - Moose 5 Miler, 1,200 ft elevation gain
• 0.4 miles - Marshall Sprouts Kids Run, 80 ft elevation gain

The three main mountain loops are named Hot Sauce, Hello Kitty, and Moose. Relay teams of two or three complete the three loops, then run a final Local Glory loop together to finish. Solo runners complete all three loops in any order. The Moose 5 Miler is a single lap that climbs to the trail tops, descends Moose to Headwall, and finishes with the Local Glory loop.

Race day services, aid, awards, and fundraising

Two aid stations are on course: one at the start/finish and relay handoff area, and the Three Forks station about 2.8 miles into each loop. Water and Skratch Labs electrolyte drink are available, plus Skratch energy chews and assorted salty and sweet snacks. Race day features include a pancake brunch, vendor village, shoe demos, finish-line massages, and a raffle. Awards are given in team and individual categories, including age-group masters divisions.
