Mountain to Meadow Half Marathon and 10K
Mountain to Meadow takes place on June 14, 2026 at the Lolo Pass Visitor's Center on the Idaho side of Lolo Pass at 5,233 feet. Courses run along the Montana-Idaho border on gravel Forest Service roads and trails, passing flowering meadows, quiet forests, and views of the Bitterroot Mountains.
Distances
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, 1,500 feet of climbing.
- 10K: 6.2 miles, 300 feet of climbing.
The half marathon has most of its climbing in the first half and then descends through forested dirt road to join the 10K course near Packer Meadow. The 10K follows the Packer Meadow nordic ski trails for about 2.8 miles before joining the gravel road section that winds through meadows and sub-alpine firs.
Aid stations on the half marathon are at Pack Ridge (4.2 miles), Skookum (7.2 miles), and Glade Creek (10.8 miles). The 10K has an aid station at Glade Creek (2.8 miles). Each station stocks water, electrolytes, and snacks. The event is cupless.
Runners receive a Mountain to Meadow tank top, a finisher medal, chip timing, and a post race BBQ with brats and salad including gluten free and vegetarian options plus a Big Sky Beer beverage. Awards go to the top three male and female overall by gun time and to top male and female in each age group by chip time. Parking at the Visitor's Center is limited. Dogs are allowed on leash and must be cleaned up after. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
