The Mountain to Meadow Half Marathon & 10k takes place on June 14, 2026, with start and finish at the Lolo Pass Visitor’s Center (Idaho side of Lolo Pass), elevation 5,233 feet. The event uses gravel Forest Service roads and passes through meadows and forested areas along the Montana-Idaho border. Parking at the Visitor’s Center is limited.

Course details
The half marathon includes about 1,500 feet of climbing over 13.1 miles, with most climbing in the first half and a later descent on forested dirt road that joins the 10k near Packer Meadow. The 10k follows Packer Meadow nordic ski trails for 2.8 miles, then 3.4 miles on a gravel road; the 10k has about 300 feet of climbing.
Aid stations, timing and race protocol
The half marathon has three aid stations at miles 4.2, 7.2 and 10.8. The 10k has a single aid station at mile 2.8. Each station stocks water, electrolytes and snacks. The event uses chip timing and is organized as a cupless race.
Awards, post-race and volunteers
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall and to the top male and female in each age group: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Runners receive a tank top, finisher medal and post-race food (brats and salad with gluten-free and vegetarian options) plus a Big Sky Brewery beverage. Volunteer roles include parking, packet pickup, aid stations and food service; volunteers receive a $15 Runner’s Edge gift card, post-race food and a tank top.
