Course
The race is a loop of 9.3 miles. The course climbs for 4.65 miles on a mix of dirt and double-track roads to the top of Grizzly Chair, where the only aid station is located. The return is a 4.65-mile descent on single-track known as Beargrass Highway, which leads back to the base area. Total climbing is 2,150 feet, with an equivalent descent on flowy single track. The course is described as well marked and offers views of the Missoula Valley and the Rattlesnake mountains.
Registration and services
Early registration windows and fees are listed for May through August 2026 with tiered prices ($50, $55, $65). The event policy states no refunds, deferrals, or transfers. Runners receive a custom name bib, a Snowbowl 15K t-shirt, post-race lunch catered by Snowbowl, and a beer or sparkling water at the finish. Packet pick-up is available at Runner’s Edge the day before and at the Snowbowl base area on race day. Awards and a post-race lunch are scheduled in the base area.
