ZooTown Challenge Obstacle Course Race
The ZooTown Challenge Obstacle Course Race is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana. The course covers the stadium, the University of Montana campus, the M Trail, and additional course sections described as surprises.
Event categories include multiple distances and formats:
- Griz Double 10K - two laps of the course; approximately 35 obstacles.
- Expert 5K - 5k with expert level obstacles.
- Novice 5K - 5k for newcomers to obstacle course racing.
- ZooTown 3K - approximately 3k; M Trail not included.
- Kids Race - for children 5 to 12, held inside the stadium; course designed by Mismo Gymnastics.
- All Abilities - for athletes with physical or intellectual disabilities; free category.
- Teams 5K - team entry with combined finish time of four racers.
Spectators are welcome and food trucks will operate in the North End Zone. Volunteers receive food vouchers on race day and free entry to the next year's race. Net proceeds from the event are donated to Opportunity Resources Inc., an organization that provides employment, creative projects, housing, and community involvement opportunities for people with disabilities.
