Marquette Trails Festival

Marquette, United States • 26-28 Jun 2026

Event Overview

The Marquette Trails Festival is a multi-day event held at the Marquette South Trails in Michigan. The festival features a wide variety of non-motorized trail activities, including trail running and mountain biking. All proceeds from the event support the NTN singletrack trail building efforts.

Running Events

The festival includes several trail running distances on singletrack paths:

  • 1.5 Miles (Youth)
  • 3.1 Miles (5K Trail Run)
  • 13.1 Miles (Twin Peaks Half Marathon)

The Twin Peaks Half Marathon course reaches the summits of both Marquette Mountain and Mount Marquette. The 5K event takes place on the heart-pumping singletrack of the South Trails. Youth events are available for participants aged 16 and under.

Biking Events

The mountain bike portion of the festival includes several distinct formats. The Cross Country (XC) races are held on technical singletrack, flow segments, and classic bench-cut trails. The Enduro race features timed downhill segments where participants transition between stages at a relaxed pace.

The Dual Slalom is a head-to-head elimination race where riders are seeded into brackets based on a timed run. The Criterium events consist of short-lap sprints at the Rippling River Campground, including a "Klunker" category for non-race bikes and costumes. A dedicated Downhill race takes place on Marquette Mountain and requires mandatory full-face helmets.

Participants should note that e-bikes are not permitted in any racing category. All registered participants receive a commemorative festival hat. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
