Noquemanon Ski Marathon
The Noquemanon Ski Marathon is a multi-distance cross-country ski event produced by the Noquemanon Trail Network, a nonprofit that develops and maintains a year-round non-motorized trail network in Michigan’s central Upper Peninsula. The event includes on-snow and virtual options and is timed by Superior Timing.

- 50K Full Noque
- 24K Half Noque
- 12K
- 15 mile snowshoe
- Adaptive Sit-Ski 3K and 1K
- Junior Noque
- Virtual Noque
Entry fees vary by registration date. A youth discount of $25 applies to participants age 24 and under. Adaptive and junior entries are free. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Packet pick-up and racer check-in are handled at the NMU Superior Dome with additional check-in for junior events at Al Quaal Recreation Area. Registrants may self-select waves for the 50K and 24K based on prior results; elite wave placement requires a petition during registration. A virtual option for the 50K and 24K includes mailed race materials; virtual times do not count for future wave placement and virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
The course includes eight aid stations at approximate distances and provides water, Hammer Nutrition HEED, and select Hammer gels. Aid station spacing is uneven and skiers are advised to carry personal fluids and energy. Fluorinated waxes are permitted but participants are encouraged to use non-fluorinated alternatives; application of fluorinated wax is prohibited inside the Forestville Trailhead building.
Safety provisions include course medical aid from local search and rescue, ski patrol, and fire department personnel. Earbuds for playing music are not allowed to ensure awareness on remote sections of the course. Cellular service is intermittent along portions of the course.
