Noquemanon Ski Marathon

The Noquemanon Ski Marathon is an annual cross-country ski event produced by the Noquemanon Trail Network, a nonprofit that maintains a year-round, non-motorized trail system in Michigan's central Upper Peninsula. The event offers in-person and virtual race options and uses chip timing provided by Superior Timing.

Multiple race formats and support services are provided. Entry fees for the Full Noque, Half Noque, and Virtual Noque change by registration date; the 12K has its own stepped fee schedule. Adaptive sit-ski races and the junior race are listed as free. A youth discount is offered to participants ages 24 and under. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, and all participants must sign a release when registering.

Packet pickup and racer check in occur at the NMU Superior Dome on the Friday before the race and on the following morning. Wave placement for the 50K and 24K is self-selected during registration subject to verification; new skiers seeking Elite Wave 1 must petition. A virtual option is available for the 50K and 24K with a race window and mailed bibs and hats; virtual results do not affect future wave placement and are not eligible for awards.

Aid stations supply water, Hammer Nutrition HEED, and gels at multiple points along the course. Course medical aid is provided by local search and rescue, amateur radio operators, National Ski Patrol, and fire department personnel. The event publishes cold weather protocols, safety rules, and a policy on fluorinated wax use. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
