Noquemanon Ski Marathon : General information

The Noquemanon Ski Marathon is organized by the Noquemanon Trail Network, a nonprofit that develops and maintains an interconnected, year round, non motorized trail network in the central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The event includes on course support, timed results, and a virtual option.

Race formats and definitions include:

• Full Noque 50K
• Half Noque 24K
• 12K
• 15 mile snowshoe
• Adaptive sit ski 3K and 1K
• Junior Noque
• Virtual Noque

Fee schedules published for the Full Noque, Half Noque, and Virtual Noque are: $80 through October 31, $100 through November 30, $105 through December 31, $110 through January 22, and $125 on January 23. The 12K fees are $40 through October 31, $50 through November 30, $55 through December 31, $60 through January 22, and $65 on January 23. Adaptive and Junior entries are free. A $25 discount applies to youth age 24 and under. Timing is provided by Superior Timing.

Registration is online through RunSignUp. All entry fees are non refundable and non transferable and participants must sign a release when registering. Packet pick up and racer check in for several events occurs at the NMU Superior Dome on Friday January 23, with additional Saturday pick up available at the Dome.

Course notes: portions west of the Dead River Basin are on private land and closed to skiers outside race waves. Aid stations are located along the course and contain water and Hammer Nutrition products; skiers are advised to carry their own supplies. Medical support is provided by local search and rescue, ski patrol, amateur radio operators, and fire department personnel. Fluorinated wax is permitted but non fluorinated options are encouraged and its application is prohibited inside the Forestville Trailhead building. Earbuds for music are not allowed and cell service is spotty in remote sections. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
