Marquette Trail 50

The Marquette Trail 50 is a trail running event held August 14-15, 2026, that includes multiple distances and associated community activities. Registration for the 2026 race opens on November 28, 2025 at 8am EST on UltraSignup. Race capacity is limited to 375 entries for the 50K and 175 entries for the 50-mile race; entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The race course is marked with orange flags and ribbon, and aid stations are stocked with water, Hammer Nutrition HEED drink, soda, gels, fruit, cookies, PBJ sandwiches, pretzels, potato chips, granola bars, and candy. The event is cupless; participants must provide their own bottle, cup, or hydration system for refills.

Packet pickup is held the day before at the Forestville Trailhead, with a very limited pickup option on race morning; ID is required and racers must pick up their own bib. Parking at Forestville Trailhead is limited and preference is given to vehicles with two or more racers; some vehicles may need to park 0.25 to 0.75 miles from the start as directed by parking attendants. Both the 50K and 50-mile races use a mass start format.

Two training runs are scheduled in June and July on the course loops; these runs are non-supported, have limited or no cellular service on most of the route, and participants should bring their own food, water, and navigation files. Volunteers receive a T-shirt, buff, or other race item, and a full day of volunteer service (8+ hours) can earn a complimentary future race entry. Merchandise ordered during registration must be picked up on race day and will not be shipped. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
