Marquette Trail 50

Marquette Trail 50 is a trail race weekend set for August 14 and 15, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and uses marked single-track and forest trails with staffed aid stations along the course.

Distances:

  • 50K
  • 50 Mile
  • 1 Mile

Race capacity is limited: 375 spots for the 50K and 175 spots for the 50 Mile. Registration for the 2026 event opens on Black Friday, November 28, 2025 via UltraSignup. The organizer will not maintain a waitlist for 2026, and entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Aid stations are stocked with water, electrolyte drink, soda, energy gels, fruit, cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pretzels, potato chips, granola bars, and candy. The event is cupless; participants must carry a bottle, cup, or hydration system for refills.

Two community training runs are planned in 2026: a late June short loop of about 11 miles meeting at the Forestville Trailhead, and a mid-July 10 mile 4 Peaks training route meeting at the Sugarloaf gravel parking lot. These training runs are non-supported and participants should carry their own food and water.

Parking at Forestville Trailhead is limited and organizers give preference to vehicles with multiple racers. Proceeds support the trail organizations the course traverses and some local cross country teams. Volunteers receive event apparel or gear and may earn a complimentary future entry for a full day of service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
