Marple Runners 10km Trail Race 2026

The Marple Runners 10km Trail Race is an annual multi-terrain event that takes place primarily off-road. The course navigates through the countryside, parks, and local landmarks of Marple. The race starts and finishes at Brabyns Park in Marple Bridge.

The route follows a specific circuit through the local landscape. It utilizes sections of the Marple parkrun course within the park before exiting via the canal locks. The path continues along back roads and trails, passing Marple Hall on the way toward Chadkirk. Participants encounter an uphill section before the route turns back toward Marple along the Peak Forest Canal. The final stages of the race cross the Marple Aqueduct before returning to the finish line in the park.

The event is chip timed and organized by the Marple Runners club. Marshals are stationed throughout the course to provide support to participants. The registration fee includes a race medal and access to digital race photographs taken by professional photographers during the event. Registration is open to individuals aged 16 to 94.
