Los Lobos Challenge takes place in Kansas City, KS on February 7, 2026. The event offers two timed formats:

  • 6 Hour
  • 3 Hour

Registration closes on February 5, 2026. Race-day registration is available by cash or Venmo; day-of entry fees include aid, post-race food and beer, and a finisher sticker. Swag sizing is guaranteed for participants registered by January 23, 2026. Awards are given to the first male and first female in each format. Photo coverage will be provided during the event.

Course and logistics

The event is held at Shelter 14, Wyandotte County Lake Park. The course is a repeating loop of about 3 miles on the park bridle loop. The route includes rolling trail sections, a field crossing, and steeper descents and hills. The loop has at least 700 ft of elevation gain per lap. Aid stations, catered post-race food, and finisher beer are provided, with Whiskey River Pizza & Pub listed as a food provider. Packet pickup is onsite on race morning. Participants who complete more than 50 km during the event are eligible for a special ultra finisher award; 14 individuals have achieved this over the past three years.
