Wandering Wolves is an organized trail event in Kansas City, KS, produced by Wyco Wolfpack. The event features three distances:
- 50k
- 25k
- 12k
All races start from Shelter 16 at Wyandotte County Lake Park; Shelter 16 is located near Shelter 14, across from the archery range and dog park. The course is a large, winding clockwise loop that offers a full tour of the local trail system. Nearly all of the route is on single-track trails, with the only exception being the crossing of the lake dam. The route includes some rocks and roots but is not described as highly technical. No bridle trail sections are used.
Registration includes a race shirt, aid stations, catered post-race food, and beer. Participants who register by September 13 receive a properly sized t-shirt; those registering after that date or on race day may not receive a guaranteed size or all swag items. A finisher hat is provided for 50k participants. All distances receive a custom medal and sticker showing distance and date. Event photography will be provided by Mile 90.
