Course, services and logistics

The route starts on the Nower at the western edge of Dorking, with a climb from the outset. It follows footpaths and bridleways past Westcott, climbs Wolvens Lane to the Plough Pub at Coldharbour, then turns uphill to the final ascent to Leith Hill Tower, the highest point in south-eastern England. The route returns along the same track to finish on the Nower. There are four water stations at miles 2, 5, 8 and 11, and marshals are positioned on the course.

Included with race entry are a personalised race number, a commemorative reusable medal that doubles as a coaster, a bottle of local beer, and a full cooked English breakfast with a vegetarian option. Entrants may purchase a branded finisher T-shirt with a name on the back until three weeks before race day. Race fees are not refundable but places may be transferred to another runner. The event holds permit number ARC/26/0126 and donates any profits to a local charity, Mid Surrey Community Fridges.

Competitors are encouraged to use bikes or public transport where possible. It is a 30 minute walk from Dorking Main and Dorking Deepdene stations and a 20 minute walk from Dorking West.
