Courses and format

The event offers two fully marked, chip-timed route options. The courses use a mix of forest roads and trails and include uphill sections. Individual starts are used so each athlete starts separately. GPX files are available for download.

  • 8K (about 5 miles) with 360m (1200 ft) of ascent, reaches the summit of Seat How
  • 5K (about 3 miles) with 240m (800 ft) of ascent, avoids the summit and joins the second half

The original route includes narrower and steeper sections; on that route only one dog per runner is allowed and dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Runners may also compete without dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
