L100 Recce 1: Coniston - Buttermere is a recce day for the Montane Lakeland 50 & 100 series, scheduled for 23 November 2025 at John Ruskin School, Lake Road, Coniston, Cumbria, LA21 8EW. Route and requirements

This recce covers the first part of the 100 course (not the 50) and is 26 miles from Coniston to Buttermere. The route includes terrain such as Black Sail Pass and Scarth Gap and may lead slower participants to finish in the dark. Full kit is required as specified by the event organisers and there are checkpoint cut off times, so participants must be fit enough to meet those cut offs before starting.
