L100 Recce 1: Coniston - Buttermere takes place on Sunday 23 November 2025. The meeting location is John Ruskin School, Lake Road, Coniston, Cumbria, LA21 8EW. Course and entry information

This recce covers the first part of the 100-mile course only and is 26 miles from Coniston to Buttermere. The route includes Black Sail Pass and Scarth Gap. Full kit is required and there are checkpoint cut off times in place. The entry fee includes coach transport, medical support and basic refreshments at checkpoints. Only competitors who have been confirmed as having a place in the Lakeland 100/50 2026 should enter; unauthorised entries will be cancelled and the fee returned less a £5 administration charge. Additional recce dates for the series are scheduled for 17 January 2026 (evening, Ambleside - Coniston), 22 March 2026 (Buttermere - Dalemain) and 14 June 2026 (Pooley Bridge - Ambleside).
