The RunThrough Lake District Running Festival takes place on 11th April 2026 at Keswick School, Vicarage Hill, Keswick CA12 5QB. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Entry fees range from £55 to £150 and members of UKA-affiliated running clubs are eligible for a £2 entry discount when they declare affiliation. The 53k race has a 13.5 hour cutoff with rolling cutoffs at aid stations.

The 53k route passes Derwent Water, goes through Seathwaite, includes an ascent of Scafell Pike and entry into Wasdale, continues around Kirk Fell to Honister Pass, then summits High Spy and descends Catbells back to Keswick. The 23k route passes Derwent Water, goes through Menesty, ascends High Spy and descends Catbells back to Keswick.

Race logistics and included services

Minimum ages are 20 years for the 53k and 17 years for the 23k. Services included for entrants comprise live tracking for ultra runners, kilometre distance flags, marshals on course, well stocked aid stations, chip-timed results, free official race photos, a themed finish medal, post-race goodies and a hot meal. An evening recce of the Ambleside to Coniston section of the Montane Lakeland 50 and 100 on 17 January 2026. The 16 mile night run includes coach transport, medical support and basic checkpoint refreshments and requires full kit.
