The 53 km route passes Derwent Water and Seathwaite before ascending Scafell Pike into Wasdale. The course continues around Kirk Fell to Honister Pass, summits High Spy, and descends via Catbells back to the finish in Keswick. The 23 km course also passes Derwent Water and Menesty, reaching the summit of High Spy and descending Catbells to return to Keswick. Specific age requirements apply, with a minimum age of 20 for the longer distance and 17 for the shorter distance.

The event features an event village with various food and drink options. Participants receive chip-timed results, live tracking for the ultra-marathon distance, and a themed medal upon completion. Professional race photography is provided alongside a post-race hot meal. The course is marked with flags at every kilometre and staffed by marshals.
