Event Information
The RunThrough Lake District Running Festival takes place on Saturday, 11th April 2026. The event start and finish is at Keswick School, Vicarage Hill, Keswick.
Race Distances
Two distances are available:
- 53k ultra-distance trail race
- 23k trail race
Course Description
The routes are trail races through the Lake District National Park.
- The 53k route passes Derwent Water, goes through Seathwaite, ascends Scafell Pike into Wasdale, goes around Kirk Fell to Honister Pass, summits High Spy, and descends Catbells back to Keswick.
- The 23k route passes Derwent Water, goes through Menesty, ascends High Spy, and descends Catbells back to Keswick.
Event Details
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (TRA) and held under UK Athletics rules. Start times are 8:00 am for the 53k distance and 10:00 am for the 23k distance. Minimum age requirements are 20 years for the 53k and 17 years for the 23k.
