The RunThrough Lake District Trail Running Festival is scheduled for 11th April 2026 at Keswick School, Vicarage Hill, Keswick CA12 5QB. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. The 53k race has a 13.5 hour overall cutoff with rolling cutoffs at each aid station.

Minimum ages are specified: 53k - 20 years; 23k - 17 years.

The 53k route passes Derwent Water and goes through Seathwaite, ascends Scafell Pike into Wasdale, runs around Kirk Fell to Honister Pass, summits High Spy and descends Catbells back to Keswick. The 23k route passes Derwent Water and through Menesty, ascends High Spy and descends Catbells back to Keswick.

Circle Ullswater on a scenic 20 miles lakeside route or push further on a 24 miles high level fell traverse in a friendly, non competitive event. Staffed checkpoints, clear waymarking and post event tea and cake make for a rewarding day out..

Run the trails of Dodd Wood with your dog or solo, climbing to the summit for panoramic views across the Coledale Fells. Choose a 5K or 8K marked loop with chip timing and individual starts to give pups plenty of space.

Run the classic Derwentwater Ten, a scenic 10 mile loop around Derwent Water from Keswick town centre on 2 November 2025. Undulating tarmac, mid race drinks and Keswick School race HQ make for a friendly, well supported challenge.

Join the classic Sale Fell Race at Sale Fell near Wythop Mill, a testing 3.7 mile fell run with 900 ft of ascent and hilltop views. Friendly to juniors and veterans, it mixes competition with scenic countryside.

Take on a scenic 10 km trail around Kendal on 22 November 2025, with limestone scars, cobbled climbs and views over Morecambe Bay. A friendly, not for profit event by Ourea Events supporting Kendal Mountain Rescue.

Run 50 km with 900 m ascent around Kendal, linking summits and landmarks before finishing at the Kendal Mountain Festival Basecamp. Expect well stocked aid stations, live tracking and a festival finish atmosphere.
