Kendal Trail Run

Kendal, United Kingdom • 22 Nov 2025

Event overview

The adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run takes place on Saturday 22 November 2025 in Kendal town centre. The event is organised by Ourea Events on a not-for-profit basis to support Kendal Mountain Rescue Team. Entries closed in November 2025 and the event was sold out. The entry fee listed was £20 with reduced price for under 18s. Minimum age is 14.

Course and route

The route is approximately 10 km with over 250 m of climbing. Terrain includes tarmac, grass, gravel and cobbles. The course climbs out of the town centre via Beast Banks, follows the Scout Scar escarpment with views across Morecambe Bay and the Lyth Valley, crosses Underbarrow Road, continues toward Cunswick Scar, crosses Kendal golf course and descends steep, narrow cobbled streets and steps back into town. Roads are closed only at the start and finish; most roads on the route remain open to traffic and runners must keep left where applicable. A lead vehicle escorts runners through the town initially. No dogs are permitted on the route.

Facilities, timing and rules

The event is fully waymarked and marshalled. There is a water station at about 6 km, three temporary stiles and a modified kissing gate (padded hinges) on the route. Digital RFID timing records finish times; runners must wear their race number horizontally and keep it intact. Baggage storage is available at registration and bags are returned on production of the race number. Runners have three hours to complete the course. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women and to first place in veteran age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
