Kendal Trail Run

Kendal, United Kingdom • 22 Nov 2025

Event overview

The adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run is part of the Kendal Mountain Festival and is organised on a not-for-profit basis to support Kendal Mountain Rescue Team. The 2025 event is scheduled for Saturday 22 November 2025 and is listed as sold out with 1,154 participants. The advertised distance is 10 km with approximately 250 m of ascent. The course surface is a mixture of tarmac, grass, gravel and cobbles. The minimum age to enter is 14; under-18 entries are offered at half price with parental/guardian requirements for 14-15 year olds.

Route and logistics

The route starts and finishes in Kendal town centre and includes a closed-road start and finish, climbs out of town up Beast Banks, a section along Scout Scar and a return that crosses Kendal golf course before descending steep, narrow and often slippery cobbled paths and ginnels into the town. The course is fully waymarked and marshalled, with a lead vehicle in place for the early section and road users asked to run on the left where roads remain open to traffic. A water station is provided at about 6 km. Entries include digital timing, baggage storage at registration, a race number with RFID timing and on-course marshals. Dogs are not permitted on the route. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and women and to first vets in the listed age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
