Lakeland Paws Dawn 2 Dusk

Braithwaite, United Kingdom • 13 Dec 2025

Event information

Lakeland Paws Dawn 2 Dusk is a canicross endurance event held at Whinlatter Forest on 13 December 2025. Entry types are solo and pair. The minimum age is 16 or older. Entries opened on 25 July 2025 and closed on 26 October 2025. Entry fees listed are Solo £75 and Pair £100.

Format and course

The event is based on completing as many laps as possible of a marked, chip-timed loop during daylight hours on the event date. Each lap is 7 km with 300 m of ascent. Laps can be completed with a dog, without a dog, or with different dogs for different laps. Organisers recommend dogs are trained and fit and that handlers give dogs rest breaks; a working maximum of 40 km for dogs is suggested. The course combines wide forest roads and some single-track sections, is not highly technical, and includes significant ascent consistent with Whinlatter being a mountain forest. GPX files are available for download. An optional event protection (XCover) is offered for possible refunds in specific circumstances.
