Nav4 Ullswater Way & Challenge

Pooley Bridge, United Kingdom • 1 Nov 2025

Nav4 Ullswater Way & Challenge is a scenic, low-key endurance event based at Parkin Memorial Hall in Pooley Bridge. It offers two Ullswater routes: the 20-mile Ullswater Way (low-level, lakeside) and the 24-mile Ullswater Challenge (adds a high-level Glencoyne traverse). The clockwise course goes past The Cockpit, Howtown and Hallin Fell; after Glenridding you can stay lakeside toward Aira Force or take the higher Glencoyne route to Dockray and Gowbarrow Summit before rejoining the main path.

The high-level section may close in bad weather; all follow the lower route. Not a race—checkpoints provide food and drink; finish includes tea, cake and NAV4 soup in a souvenir mug. Entry £35/£40; max 100 participants; ages 16+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
