Run the Dark: Knockers Solstice Trail Run
Run the Dark: Knockers Solstice is a trail running event on Sunday 21 June 2026 in West Hobart. The event hub is at the lookout near the Forest Road carpark on Knocklofty. The event is organised by Kunanyi Trail Series.
The run takes place in native bushland by headtorch and offers views of the night lights of Hobart, Kunanyi and the timtumili minanya Derwent River. Wildlife such as wallabies, bandicoots and owls may be encountered on the trails.
Courses combine wide, smooth firetrail with well built single track and include some technical sections. The Enduro course includes a new shared use trail across Noah’s Saddle and uses the Knocksofty and Yellow Hippo Track. The Knockers Solstice routes are slightly modified from regular Knockers courses to avoid large hills at the start and reduce loop complexity.

- Enduro: 11 km, elevation 360 m
- Sport: 6 km, elevation 225 m
- Explorer: 4 km, elevation 130 m
Bib pick up is available at the event hub and pizza and drinks are available after the run. A headtorch is recommended; a minimum of 300 lumens is suggested. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
