The King of the Mountain is a running event taking place in Western Australia, starting and finishing at Helena Valley Primary School. The race consists of a single 16.1 km loop that takes participants through the natural terrain of the valley and its surrounding elevated areas. Course Details

The route follows an anticlockwise direction up the mountain situated on the north side of the valley. Participants encounter varied terrain throughout the circuit, which includes steep ascents and steep descents. A specific feature of the course is a creek crossing. On the return leg after crossing the creek, the path includes a detour located south of Helena Valley Road before returning to the primary school finish line.

Registration and Participation

Registration for the event is available online and remains open until the day before the race, unless the entry limit is reached earlier. The event is open to both members of the Western Australian Marathon Club and non-members, with specific pricing tiers for adults and participants under the age of 18.
