Manning Park Trail Run

The Manning Park Trail Run is an athletic event held in Spearwood, Western Australia. Organized entirely by volunteers from the Friends of the Community, the run serves as a fundraising initiative. All proceeds from the event are directed toward a school scholarship fund that supports the education of young people in Perth.

The course utilizes the trails and grounds within Manning Park. Participants navigate a route that passes by the old homestead and traverses hilly terrain. The elevated sections of the trails offer views of Rottnest Island and the surrounding islands. A specific feature of the course is the Manning Park Stairs, which consists of 200 stairs that participants must climb as they transition back into the trail sections.

Participants can choose between two primary distances, which can be completed as a run or a walk:

  • 5 km trail course including stairs
  • 10 km trail course including stairs

The event is held on a Sunday morning, with the start located within the park grounds. Online registration is available for all participants interested in the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
