Truth or Consequences at Serpentine NP
Truth or Consequences is a trail running event held at Serpentine National Park on the Kitty Gorge trails. The event offers multiple course options with marked routes and on-site information. A village area at the start and finish includes food trucks, BBQ facilities and a gathering area where spectators can wait and cheer.
Course distances and typical elevation range:
- Green: 8.5km (+/- 300 m elevation)
- Blue: 11.8km (+/- 500 m elevation)
- Black: 25km (+/- 800 m elevation)
- Double Black: 50km (+/- 1600 m elevation)
The event uses a colour coded system to indicate route type and expected effort. The Black course also has a hiking option so participants can complete the route at a walking pace. Routes are marked and staff provide a pre-event briefing and an event brief email sent the Wednesday before the event.
Child entry rules are specified by course: Green minimum age 6 with accompaniment if under 12; Blue minimum age 12 with prior Green experience and parental accompaniment first time; Black minimum age 16 with prior Blue experience and parental accompaniment first time; Hike course minimum age 10. Bib pickup takes place on race day at the start / finish. Registration remains open until the Tuesday before the event unless the event sells out.
