Kill Bill’s Oyster Dome Challenge is a challenging trail running event held at Lower Blanchard Mountain, near Alger, Washington. Offering two distances, 25k and 50k (two loops of the 25k course), the race features a demanding elevation gain of 3,500 feet per loop with steep climbs, long downhills, and scenic single-track trails through Blanchard Mountain. Participants traverse the British Army Trail and Alternate Incline Trail, culminating at the iconic Oyster Dome with stunning views of Samish Bay.
A unique tradition includes eating a freshly shucked oyster at the summit. The event emphasizes a no-trace ethic and requires a Discover Pass for parking, with limited spaces encouraging carpooling.
