Larrabee Lakes

Larrabee Lakes takes place August 8, 2026, with start and finish at Fairhaven Park near Bellingham, Washington. Courses run into Larrabee State Park and across sections of the Chuckanut Formation, passing through lush green forest, alongside several lakes, and along narrow ridgelines with views of Mt. Baker and Bellingham Bay.

All distances begin on the Interurban Trail and then enter singletrack that climbs to the first ridgeline. The 12K turns back after the initial ridgeline. The 25K and 50K continue on Lost Lake Trail and ridge trails; the 25K includes a climb up stairs to the ridge before returning through Aroyo Park. The 50K includes an extended route with an out and back to the Pine and Cedar Aid Station, laps near Cedar Lake, sections past Fragrance Lake, and additional climbs before rejoining the ridge.

The terrain includes smooth singletrack but also rough, steep, and rocky sections. Elevation gain is listed as approximately 1500 feet for the 12K, 2900 feet for the 25K, and 6500 feet for the 50K. Aid stations are positioned along each course and the trails will remain open to other users, including equestrians, pedestrians, and cyclists.

This cupless event asks runners to carry their own refillable container. Drop bags are allowed for 50K runners at the Lost Lake aid station with size and labeling requirements. Trail races on Sumas Mountain offer 10K, 25K and 50K routes across rugged single track with significant elevation and valley views. Entry fees support clean water projects in Uganda and DRC.

An eight hour loop event at Rolley Lake Provincial Park on May 30, 2026, where runners complete 8 km laps to raise funds for Mission Search and Rescue. Onsite, relay, 1 km fun run and virtual options are available.

FORGE is a 12 hour backyard ultra near Swinomish Casino in Skagit County, WA. Runners complete a 4.167 mile loop each hour; finish all 12 loops for 50 miles. Awards include trophies and a $500 prize for fastest cumulative time.
