Course and logistics

The courses share sections and will split and rejoin at multiple points; runners must follow course markings for their distance. The route begins with a gradual climb and descent to the Interurban Trail, then climbs toward a ridgeline. The 12K turns at the ridgeline and returns to the finish. The 25K and 50K continue on singletrack, passing Lost Lake and other lakes, ridge trails, and technical ups and downs. The 50K includes an out-and-back to the Samish aid station and additional climbs on Cleator Road and Two Dollar Trail near Fragrance Lake before rejoining the ridge. Trails include rough, steep, and rocky sections. Trails will remain open to other users during the event, including equestrians, pedestrians, and cyclists. Entries can be deferred, transferred, or switched to another event for a fee; requests must be made before the Friday of race week (see organizer policy for details).
