Course and logistics

All races run primarily on gravel roads on and around Jump off Joe Mountain. The half and full marathon reach the mountain summit and provide views over the Tri-Cities and down into Oregon. The start and finish share a location near the intersection of Owens Road and Highway 397 (coordinates 46.153992, -119.156997). Parking is available along Owens Road; participants are asked not to park on Highway 397.

The course is not certified and is marked with signage, flagging tape, and/or flour arrows. Aid stations are spaced roughly 3 to 5 miles apart. The event is cup-less; runners must bring their own bottle, bladder, or reusable cup. Some aid stations are limited service with water, gels, electrolytes, and ice; others are full service and include PB&Js, chips, fruit, pop, and more. There are no restrooms on the course aside from a porta-potty at the start. The route remains on open, rough gravel roads, so appropriate footwear and awareness of vehicle traffic are required. Packet pickup and day-of registration are available near the starting line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
