Climb 89
Climb 89 is an Everesting Run Challenge held at Badger Mountain Westgate Trailhead in Richland, WA. The course is a 0.35 mile one-way loop with an 89 meter (292 foot) elevation gain per lap. Repeating the loop 100 times produces a cumulative elevation gain that approximates the height of Mt. Everest.
Finisher awards are distributed by the number of laps completed. The event lists multiple target lap totals and corresponding mountain-equivalent elevations:
- 100 laps - Mt. Everest, 29,032 ft
- 85 laps - Annapurna III, 24,787 ft
- 70 laps - Denali, 20,310 ft
- 50 laps - Mt. Rainier, 14,411 ft
- 29 laps - Mt. St. Helens, 8,363 ft
- 13 laps - Rattlesnake Mountain, 3,531 ft
