The Badger Mountain Challenge is an ultramarathon event held at Badger Mountain Preserve in Richland, Washington. The 2026 edition is the 15th annual running of the event and is organized by the Nomad Trail Runners of Eastern Washington. The course uses trails on Badger Mountain, which offers views of the Columbia Basin. The event is USATF sanctioned. The race includes a post-race party and post-race food for entrants. Ruck division entrants must carry a backpack weighing between 20 and 30 lb, not counting water or food used during the race. The 50M, 100K and 100M events start on the first day and the 55K and 15K on the second day. Proceeds support Friends of Badger Mountain, Washington Trails Association, and Girls on the Run. The event offers a scholarship for eligible students. Volunteers receive a race shirt and a future free 15K entry or a reduced fee for longer events.
