The Badger Mountain Challenge is an ultramarathon event held at Badger Mountain Preserve in Richland, Washington. The 2026 edition takes place on March 27-28, 2026 and is hosted by the Nomad Trail Runners of Eastern Washington. The event is volunteer run and USATF sanctioned. Proceeds support Friends of Badger Mountain, Washington Trails Association, and Girls on the Run. The race offers a scholarship for eligible high school or college students. Entrants receive post-race food and there is a post-race gathering at the finish. Registration opens December 6, 2025.

  • There are ruck divisions for the 15K and 50-mile races; ruck entrants must carry a backpack weighing 20 to 30 lbs, not counting water or food.

  • The 100M, 100K and 50-mile events take place on Friday, March 27; the 55K and 15K take place on Saturday, March 28.
  • Volunteers receive a volunteer shirt and a future free entry to a BMC 15K or a reduced fee for longer distances.
