The Badger Mountain Challenge is an annual trail running event in Richland, Washington. The 2026 edition is scheduled for March 27-28 and is hosted by the Nomad Trail Runners of Eastern Washington. The race takes place on and around Badger Mountain Preserve, a protected open space established in 2005. The event is USATF sanctioned and includes post-race food for entrants.

Ruck division entrants must carry a backpack weighing between 20 and 30 lbs, not counting water or food. Finishers in ruck divisions receive a custom patch. The double entry category awards a unique prize to participants who complete both events.
Registration, support and beneficiaries
Registration closes on March 23, 2026. Entry fees were raised slightly for 2026; an early-bird price applied in December. The race is supported by local sponsors including McCurley Subaru and Runners Soul. Volunteers receive a race shirt and a future 15K entry or a discounted fee for longer distances. Proceeds support Friends of Badger Mountain, Washington Trails Association, and Girls on the Run. A scholarship is offered to eligible high school or college students.
