Run With the Goats

Kennewick, United States • 18 Apr 2026

Event details

Run With The Goats is presented as a 50K event in Kennewick, WA, held on single-track trails in Reata Canyon. The trails are on private property used under an easement. The course description notes a total of 4,280 feet of climbing for the full distance. The event is capped at 50 entrants; a waitlist opens after the cap and invitations are offered in order with 24 hours to accept.

Race format and rules

The event has three divisions:

  • 50K Beer
  • 50K Light
  • 50K Sober

The format uses repeated 4.5-mile laps. Official finishers are those who complete seven laps and follow the beverage rule for their division. Beer and Light entrants consume beer before each lap; Sober entrants consume a 12 oz non-alcoholic fizzy beverage before each lap and must supply their own. Beer and Light entrants must have a designated driver, rideshare, or carpool arranged. Finishes are tracked separately for the three divisions. Participants who stop before completing all laps are recorded as DNF.

Logistics and on-course etiquette

There will be a potluck, porta-potties at the start area, and a fire pit. A wall tent may be used if weather is poor. Participants are asked to stay to the right when meeting another runner and pass on the left after announcing on your left. Other users, including horses, may be on the trails, and entrants should be respectful of private property and other trail users. All entrants receive a custom pint glass.
