Course and event details
The event uses two USATF-certified loop courses. The short course is 1.17078 miles on about 95% asphalt or concrete and 5% crushed gravel and is USATF certified (NV23001JOE). The long course is approximately 2.3094 miles per loop and is USATF certified. Loop elevation gain is listed per loop (short course 36 feet; long course 72 feet). The short course has a 48-hour overall cutoff; the long course 100-mile cutoff is 30 hours with an option that extends the limit to 32 hours.
Aid is staffed 24/7 with meal service and dietary options; the event is cupless so participants should carry a bottle or reusable cup. Live chip timing is used and bibs must be worn for laps to count. The short course will host the USATF 100 Mile Road Championship with a $4,000 prize purse; championship eligibility requires current USATF membership and U.S. citizenship. Showers are not available on site. Pets on leash are allowed but must be kept away from the course and tents. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
