The Bootleg Boogie

About the race

The Bootleg Boogie is an endurance running event held January 30, 2027 in Boulder City, NV and organized by Capstone Endurance. Race distances offered include:

• 100 miles
• 50 miles
• Half Marathon

The event uses a 12.5 mile loop course with approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent per lap. Total elevation gain is approximately 15,000 feet for the 100 mile (8 laps), 7,500 feet for the 50 mile (4 laps), and 1,875 feet for the half marathon. The loop format provides frequent access to aid, crew, and spectators at the centralized start/finish area, and the terrain is described as steadily rolling with no extremely long or steep climbs.

Aid is available at three locations on each loop: Start/Finish (HQ) at mile 0 and 12.5, Caldera at mile 6.9, and Veterans at mile 10.8. All aid stations offer the same food and hydration options, including sandwiches, fruit, snacks, chips, cookies, candies, water, electrolyte drink mix and tablets; hot food is provided after sundown. NSAIDs are not provided. Drop bags are available at Caldera and HQ.

Pacers are allowed after mile 37.5 for the 50 and 100 mile races. Crews are permitted at HQ only; parking for crews is available at the HQ base camp. Camping is permitted at the base camp and nearby starting areas on a first-come basis at no cost; cooking is allowed in designated areas.

Packet pickup is at the start/finish area in the days before the race and on race morning. Runners may change distances up until the start of their chosen distance, and race day registrations are accepted up until the start of each distance. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. For the 100 mile, a guaranteed base purse of $5,000 is listed; example prize pool totals are provided by the organizer and final totals will be announced after registration closes.
