Event Overview

The Bootleg Boogie is an ultramarathon and running event taking place on January 30, 2027, in Boulder City, Nevada. The start and finish area is at Bootleg Canyon.

Course and Distances

The event is run on a 12.5-mile loop course. Each loop features approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent. The terrain is described as steadily rolling with no extraordinarily long climbs or severe descents. Participants can choose from three distances:

  • 100 miles (8 loops, ~15,000 feet of total elevation gain)
  • 50 miles (4 loops, ~7,500 feet of total elevation gain)
  • Half Marathon (1 loop, ~1,875 feet of total elevation gain)

The loop format provides frequent access to the main start/finish area for aid and crew support. There is a 30-hour cutoff time for the 100-mile race. An early-start option is available with prior approval.

Prize Money

The 100-mile race features a guaranteed base prize purse of $5,000. The total purse increases by $100 for every 100-mile entrant registered beyond the first 100 participants. Prize money is awarded to the top overall male and female finishers.

Logistics and Support

Packet pickup occurs at the start/finish area on the afternoon before and morning of the event. There are three aid station locations on each loop, offering a variety of food and hydration, including hot food after sundown. Drop bags are available for two locations. For the 50 and 100-mile races, pacers are allowed after mile 37.5. Crew access is permitted only at the main start/finish area (HQ). Parking and free camping are available near the start area. Déjà Vu on April 11, 2026 at Mountain's Edge Regional Park offers distances from a 50k to a 1 mile kids run, plus relay teams and virtual entries with mailed medals. The course is flat with mountain and city views and on-course aid.
