The Bootleg Boogie is a trail running event held at Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, Nevada. The event offers multiple distances:

  • 100 miles
  • 50 miles
  • Half Marathon

Races are run on a 12.5 mile loop with approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent per lap. The looped format provides frequent access to aid, crew, and spectators at a centralized start and finish area. Total elevation gain is listed as about 15,000 feet for the 100 mile (8 loops), about 7,500 feet for the 50 mile (4 loops), and about 1,875 feet for the half marathon.

Aid is available at three locations per loop: Start/Finish (Mile 0 and 12.5), Caldera (Mile 6.9), and Veterans (Mile 10.8). All aid stations offer the same food and hydration options, including sandwiches, fruit, snacks, cookies, candies, water, electrolyte drink mix and tablets, and hot food after sundown. NSAIDs will not be provided. Drop bags are available for Caldera and HQ.

Pacers are permitted after Mile 37.5 in the 50 and 100 mile races. Crews may access the course at the HQ area only, where parking and camping are available on a first come basis. The 100 mile distance carries a guaranteed base purse of $5,000, with additional funds added to the prize pool as more 100 mile entrants register. Prize money will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
