About the race
Bootleg Boogie is an ultrarunning event held January 30, 2027, at Bootleg Canyon near Boulder City, NV. The race uses a 12.5-mile loop with approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent per lap. The loop format gives frequent access to aid, crew, and spectators at the centralized start/finish area.
Distances include:
- 100 miles - 8 loops, ~15,000 ft total gain
- 50 miles - 4 loops, ~7,500 ft total gain
- Half Marathon - 1 loop, ~1,875 ft total gain
The 100-mile race has a 30-hour cutoff. Pacers are allowed after mile 37.5 for the 50- and 100-mile distances. Crews are allowed at the headquarters area only, where parking and camping are available nearby on a first-come basis. Drop bags are supported at Caldera and the headquarters aid station.
Aid is provided at three locations on each loop: Start/Finish (HQ), Caldera (mile 6.9), and Veterans (mile 10.8). All aid stations offer the same food and hydration options, including sandwiches, fruit, snacks, water, electrolyte drinks and tablets, and hot food after sundown. NSAIDs will not be provided.
Bootleg Boogie is organized by Capstone Endurance. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Races canceled due to inclement weather, fire, or unsafe air quality will be rescheduled or credited 50% toward a future race.
