The Bootleg Boogie is a trail running event held at Bootleg Canyon near Boulder City, Nevada, on Jan 31, 2026. Distances offered are 100 miles, 50 miles, and Half Marathon. Registration closes on Jan 30 at 11:59 PM PT. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; deferrals are not offered. Race swag not picked up will not be mailed.
Course and distances
The course is a 12.5-mile loop composed of over 90% singletrack with about 2,000 feet of elevation gain per lap. The route includes a notable ascent of Black Mountain and offers desert views and distant views of the Las Vegas Strip at night.
- 100 miles: 8 loops, ~16,000 feet elevation gain
- 50 miles: 4 loops, ~8,000 feet elevation gain
- Half Marathon: 1 loop plus a 0.62-mile bonus section
Cutoffs are set per distance: 100-mile 36 hours, 50-mile 18 hours, Half Marathon 6 hours.
Logistics, services and rules
There are three aid stations: two full-service stations (electrolytes, salty snacks, hot food available overnight) and one hydration/nutrition station. Pacers are allowed after mile 37.5 for the 50- and 100-mile races; crews are allowed at all points on course. Parking is located at the base camp near the start/finish; camping is permitted Thursday through Monday on a first-come basis at no cost. Packet pickup is at the start/finish area the day before and the morning of the event.
Prize money currently allocated for the 100-mile top finishers totals $5,000 (1st $1,000; 2nd $500; 3rd $250 per gender); the overall prize pool may increase with additional entries. The event provides finisher awards: custom belt buckles for 100-mile finishers, medals for 50-mile and Half Marathon finishers, and a race T-shirt for all entrants.
