The Bootleg Boogie
The Bootleg Boogie is a loop-format trail event held January 30, 2027, at Bootleg Canyon near 1000 Yucca St, Boulder City, NV, organized by Capstone Endurance. The event offers three distances:
- 100 miles - 8 loops, ~15,000 feet total
- 50 miles - 4 loops, ~7,500 feet total
- Half Marathon - 1 loop, ~1,875 feet total
Each lap is a 12.5-mile loop with approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent. The terrain is steadily rolling with no extremely long climbs or reckless descents, so elevation accumulates gradually across laps. The loop design gives frequent access to aid, crew, and spectators at the centralized start/finish area.
Aid is available at three locations per loop: Start/Finish (Mile 0 and 12.5), Caldera (Mile 6.9), and Veterans (Mile 10.8). All aid stations offer the same food and hydration options, including sandwiches, fruit, snacks, chips, cookies, candies, water, electrolyte mixes and tablets, and hot food after sundown. Drop bags are available at Caldera and HQ. NSAIDs are not provided.
The 100 mile distance has a 30 hour cutoff. Packet pickup is at the start/finish Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Pacers are allowed after mile 37.5 for the 50 and 100 mile races; crews are permitted at HQ only. Parking and camping are available at base camp on a first come basis. A guaranteed base purse is offered for the 100 mile with additional prize pool growth tied to entries. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable.
