Iron Knee / Tender Knee

Iron Knee and Tender Knee are point to point trail races that start at Cleveland Park or the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve in North Vancouver and finish on the shores of Deep Cove. The courses run on North Shore trails and include the Powerline Climb. The finish area provides chocolate treats for participants.

A shuttle bus is available to transport racers from the finish at Deep Cove back to the respective start areas. Shuttle tickets cost $10 and must be purchased in advance. The course closes at 1:00 p.m. There are five aid stations in total, four serving Iron Knee and two serving Tender Knee. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, gels, blocks or chews, cookies and other treats, and first aid supplies are available at every station.

Package pickup is available race day at each start location 30 minutes before the race start, and on the Friday before the race at the Running Room in North Vancouver from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Race day check in is mandatory 30 minutes before the start. Dry bags with a change of warm clothes may be dropped off at the start and will be transported to the finish; participants must mark their race number on their dry bag. The event is cup less so participants should bring a personal container for fluids. Awards are presented to the top three by gender in each event and every finisher receives a medal. Trail run at Campbell Valley Regional Park on February 1, 2026 offering 5 km and two loop 10 km options plus a youth 5 km for ages 15 and under. The course has short steep hills, possible mud, and entry is limited to 120 runners.

Run Ridge Run returns to Sasamat Lake in Port Moody on Feb 21, 2026, offering 13 km and 25 km trail options along scenic ridges and lakeside trails. Enjoy post race soup and sushi, tree planting per entry, and a fun kids race.
