Ferry 2 Sunny "Race"

Ferry 2 Sunny "Race" is an unofficial trail running event organized by Jeanelle Hazlett & Sunny Running Club at the Langdale Ferry Terminal in Langdale, BC on May 9, 2026. The start is timed with the first ferry deboarding on the Sunshine Coast; local participants do not need to travel by ferry to join.

The route is not marked. Runners are responsible for having the route on hand. The event is presented as a tune up for The Coaster and focuses on trail speed, stamina and technical skills.

A Brooks-sponsored Strava segment challenge runs from May 1 to 31 on the Ferry to Sunny Running Co. route. Participants who show their Strava activity are eligible for a one time 15% discount on shoes and clothing in store. The discount is limited to one use per person regardless of how many times the segment is completed.

Prizes at the end of the month include a head-to-toe Brooks kit for the fastest female and male on the segment, a head-to-toe kit for the local participant with the most segment attempts, and a shirt and shorts for the best dressed entrant in the SPRING theme, judged from photos or in person at the shop. Post-run prizes, in-store treats and discounts will be available. The event is in person, parking is free, and there are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
