Hughenden Valley Half Marathon
The Hughenden Valley Half Marathon is a trail race set on and around the National Trust grounds at Hughenden Manor, Buckinghamshire (HP14 4LA). The official distance is 21.1 km with approximately 450 m of ascent. The route runs largely on forest and rural trails through parts of Naphill, Bradenham and Hughenden, offering varied undulation with few long or steep climbs. The ground is rough and uneven in places and trail running shoes are recommended.
The course is fully waymarked with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals support navigation. Aid stations are provided at roughly 7 km, 12 km and 16–17 km offering water, coke, gels and snacks. A downloadable GPX file and route on Ordnance Survey maps and Garmin are available for navigation.
Event facilities at Hughenden Manor include car parking, toilets, a cafe and an event base close to the church where the start and finish are located. Entries include chip timing with live results, a finishers souvenir, medical support, bag drop, free parking and free entry to Hughenden Manor. The race is held under UKA rules with a TRA permit. Minimum age to enter is 17 and dogs are not permitted on the course. The entry fee is £32 or £30 for UKA affiliated runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
