Hughenden Valley Half Marathon

The Hughenden Valley Half Marathon is a trail race based at Hughenden Manor, HP14 4LA, on National Trust land. The course covers 21.1 km with about 450 m of ascent and follows a mix of woodland and rural paths through parts of Naphill, Bradenham and Hughenden.

The route is mostly forest tracks with undulation and few long or steep climbs. Navigation is provided by orange arrow markers and orange ribbons and marshals are present on course. A GPX file and Ordnance Survey route are available for download for those who wish to follow the line on a watch or phone.

There are three aid stations located at roughly 7 km, 12 km and 16 to 17 km. Available supplies include water, coke, Precision Fuel and Hydration gels and jelly babies. Ground underfoot can be rough and uneven so trail running shoes are recommended.

The event base at Hughenden Manor provides car parking, toilets and a cafe. The start and finish area is on the park grounds close to the church. The event holds a TRA license and is run under UKA rules. Entry is priced at £32 or £30 for UKA affiliated runners and the minimum entry age is 17. Dogs are not permitted.
