The High Lea event at Richfield Heritage Preserve in Richfield, OH offers timed ultrarunning options on a looped course. Distances are:
- 100 Mile
- 24 Hour
- 12 Hour Day
- 12 Hour Night
- 6 Hour
The course is a 2.92 mile loop with 225 feet of gain. Most of the route is shaded and runs on camp roads and trail; the camp roads are gravel. Walkers and hikers are permitted. A portion of proceeds will go to capital improvements at the Richfield Heritage Preserve. Minimum ages are 18 for the 24 hour and 100 mile events and 16 for the 12 hour event. There is a 30 hour cutoff for the 100 mile distance. 24 hour runners may have a pacer at the halfway point and 100 mile runners may have a pacer at the 50 mile halfway point.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is Friday, May 15 from 5:00-6:30 PM at the summer barn (2445 Oviatt Rd, Richfield OH 44286). Camping is available Friday night at the summer barn. The aid station will be at the summer barn and will offer grab-and-go food and drink, hot food overnight, ramen or broth, and coffee. Restrooms are available throughout the park; they do not have running water. Timing is provided by chip timing with a lap-o-meter, leader board, and live tracking. Finish awards include belt buckles for 100 mile finishers, medals for other distances, and t-shirts for all. Registration and shirt-size deadlines are listed by the organizer.
