Helenback Race Series
The Helenback Race Series is a trail running event in Helen, GA, offering three race options that start and finish on the field adjoining the Chattahoochee River. Packet pickup is available both on the evening before the races and on race morning at the start/finish area. Parking is provided at the start/finish field for about 150 cars; when that lot is full, overflow parking is located across the river at the outlet mall, with about a 0.25 mile walk back to the field. Directions note entry to Helen on Hwy 17/75/Main Street and a turn onto Brucken Strasse that leads to the start area by the river.
Aid stations are placed on the marathon and half marathon courses, with runners likely to encounter support every 4 to 6 miles. The event enforces cutoff points on the longer courses; runners who miss a cutoff will be given a ride back to the start.
