The course uses a 1 mile trail loop at the base of Coosa and Blood mountains and is described as gently rolling and runnable, with hard pack pea gravel, sections of single track, and a very short paved segment. Participants may run as many or as few laps as they choose within the chosen time division.

An aid station at the start and finish supplies typical aid station food including bananas, oranges, cookies, chips, candy, PB&J, and grilled cheese, plus water, Gatorade, and Coke. The event is cupless; participants should carry their own water bottle or hydration pack.

Entry benefits and awards include a jacket and a finisher medal. Awards go to the top three men and top three women in each time division based on the greatest number of complete laps; partial laps do not count. A raffle during the race will select ten runners, five men and five women, to represent Revolution Running for the 2027 season; eligibility requires registration and participation in the 4 hour or 8 hour race. Proceeds will benefit Vogel State Park.

Additional notes include a shirt deadline of Oct 14 and a refund policy offering 100 percent refund until three months before the race, after which no refunds are available. Lodging options listed include Vogel State Park cabins and camping, Blood Mountain Cabins, and Relaxing in Blue Ridge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
