Lady of the Lake - Blairsville

The Lady of the Lake event is an annual timed running event held at Vogel State Park near Blairsville, GA. Runners complete laps on a roughly 1 mile trail loop around Lake Trahlyta at the base of Coosa and Blood mountains. The trail is gently rolling and consists mainly of hard pack pea gravel, some single track, and a short paved section. The 2026 event is the eighth running of this format.

Race formats:

  • 8 hour timed race
  • 4 hour timed race

Participants may run as many or as few laps as they wish within their chosen time limit. An aid station at the start/finish offers typical aid station food including bananas, oranges, cookies, chips, candy, PB&J, grilled cheese, and drinks such as water, Gatorade, and Coke. This is a cupless event so runners should carry their own water bottle or hydration pack.

Race entry includes a jacket and a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers by most complete laps in each division; partial laps do not count. Proceeds will benefit Vogel State Park. The shirt deadline is October 14. Registration closes November 11 at 11:59 PM ET. Refunds are 100 percent until three months before the race; after that no refunds are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
