Heart of Granite

Heart of Granite is a challenging 20-mile (32 km) circular race held in the Galloway Mountains, starting and finishing at Caldons Old Campsite in Glen Trool, Newton Stewart, Scotland. The course features 1850 meters of ascent, passing notable landmarks such as Curleywee, Rig of Jarkness, the Murder Hole, and the summit of Merrick. Fully supported and marshalled by Galloway Mountain Rescue, the event includes checkpoints with food and water, first aid cover, and hearty refreshments at the finish. Designed for experienced fell runners aged 18 and over, participants must carry mandatory winter navigation and safety kit. All profits support the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team.
