Haddon Hill Pairs

The Haddon Hill Pairs is a short pairs race held at Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton. Runners form pairs. One member of each pair starts at the bottom of Haddon Hill and runs to the top along a steep slope. That runner then tags their partner, who runs back down the same route to the start and finish.

The course length is 0.6 km (0.4 mi) with approximately 175 m of climb (574 ft). The event is described as a bit of mid summer fun and takes place from the Upper Car Park in Carding Mill Valley.

Entry is on the day only, cost is £10 per pair and payment is cash only. The minimum age is over 12. Prizes listed include first male, first female, and first mixed pair. Safety information is noted as AS. The event is insured by WFRA.

A 6.7 km hill race at Belmore Farm in Ratlinghope with 250 m ascent, held in memory of Adrian Donnelly to raise funds for Severn Hospice. Parking is in the bottom field and food and drinks are sold for cash.

A community running day at Bromyard Rugby Club featuring a chip timed 10 km, a junior 2 km for ages 4 to 15, and a non competitive fun run, with marshals, on site vendors, first aid and event insurance.

July the Turd is a run offering 8 miles, 16 miles and a full marathon around the Ironbridge valley. The route mixes tracks, paths and road and the event finishes at The Unicorn Inn with parking on site and finisher bling.

A 6.7 km fell race around the Stiperstones from Snailbeach with 375 m of ascent, steady climbs and mixed descents. Entries are available by pre-entry or on the evening and proceeds support local charities and Natural England.
