Its Grim Up North Running stages Grim Leodis on 08/02/2026 in Kirkstall, next to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the River Aire, just off Wyther Lane. The main loop is approximately 6.5 miles and the event is organised as a lapped course. Other distance options listed by the organiser include:

Course and logistics

The route is undulating and combines canal towpath, river bank, trail and a short road section. Terrain is described as towpath, trail and road. The course will be marshalled and signed, with well stocked feed stations approximately every three miles. Organisers aim to be cup-less; participants are asked to use a reusable cup or bottle at feed stations.

There is a 6.5 hour cut-off for completing the course. GPX route files are available for download. Parking is at Morrison in Kirkstall and is currently free all day. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone-conduction or single-ear in-ear use is allowed. Runners who need to withdraw should inform the nearest marshal; transfers and deferrals can be managed through the organiser's booking channels.
