The Great Springs Trail Race - Austin takes place on March 7, 2026, at Southeast Metro Park, 4511 Highway 71 East, Del Valle, TX. The event offers multiple distances:

Parking is at the large sport field lots with a 0.25 mile walk to the primitive trailhead. ADA parking near the race hub can be arranged at packet pickup. The race supports the Great Springs Project and has involvement from the Travis County Parks Foundation.

Course, support and rules

The course is a well-marked 6.5 mile loop with about 640 feet of elevation gain per loop. Route features include a half-mile rocky jeep road downhill start, a short two-way section, steep climbs and descents, creek-bed sections, mesquite and oak single-track next to Onion Creek, and some short double-track. Course markings include caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers.

There are two aid stations: one at start/finish and one on course near the halfway point, offering water, Tailwind, snacks, fruit and some salty and sweet items; cold sodas are available at the finish. All races are chip timed with ankle chips issued race morning; chips must be worn on the ankle and returned if a runner leaves. Pacers are not allowed. Drop bags are not provided on course; small bags may be left at the race hub but not in the start/finish chute. Awards include Top 3 Overall and Top 1 Masters (50+).
