The Great Springs Trail Race - Austin takes place on March 7, 2026 at Southeast Metro Park, 4511 Highway 71 East, Del Valle, TX 78617. The event includes multiple distances:

Awards are given to the Top 3 Overall finishers and the Top 1 Masters (50 and older). Pacers are not allowed for this event.

Course and race support

The race uses a well-marked 6.5 mile loop with about 640 feet of elevation gain per loop. The route begins on a rough jeep road with a rocky downhill, includes a short two-way section, steep climbs and descents, creek-bed sections, wooded single track along Onion Creek, and repeated passes through the start/finish area and an aid station every few miles. Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers; intersections where distances split are signed with distance-specific directions.

There are two aid station locations: one at the start/finish and one on course. These stations provide water, Tailwind, snacks, fruit, and other grab-and-go options; cold sodas and water are available at the finish. The race uses chip timing; chips are distributed at the venue on race morning, must be worn on the ankle, and should be returned after leaving the event.
